NSW First Programs
Destination NSW delivers the NSW First program to assist tourism businesses around the State to develop, promote and sell their tourism products.
It includes face to face workshops and online webcasts that offer ‘how-to’ insights on a range of topics for the tourism industry, with events to be added to the calendar throughout the year.

The Welcome Experience: A Free Concierge Service for new Essential Workers
The Welcome Experience program is a free* concierge-style service supporting essential workers and their families who are either considering moving or have made the move to settle in Albury, Federation, or Greater Hume Local Government Areas (LGA).
The service connects essential workers and their families with local people and resources to help with life stuff. Everything from the practicalities of finding housing, choosing childcare, exploring job opportunities for partners, or even introducing you to your neighbours.
Who is eligible for The Welcome Experience?
Essential workers who have secured jobs in government or non-government sectors within Albury, Federation, or Greater Hume LGA’s are now eligible for support through The Welcome Experience.
This includes the following sectors:
- Aged Care
- Education
- Early Childhood
- Disability Support
- Child Protection and Out-of-home care
- Corrections and Justice
- Emergency services.
The service is available to all employees of the following NSW Government agencies: NSW Police, NSW Fire & Rescue, NSW Ambulance, NSW Health, Department of Communities & Justice.
* This service is funded by The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development.

New Tools to Better Serve Visitors with Access Needs
The Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) has developed new tools for visitor economy operators in the Asia-Pacific region to better serve travellers with access needs, including those living with disability. Around 16.7 per cent of the region’s population live with a disability and the resources are aimed at giving them greater choice and control over their travel decisions.
