Jindera Community Garage Sale

Sunday 14 April is the annual Jindera Community Garage Sale!

This year will be the 25 year of madly clearing out unwanted and unused items and getting all goods organised for the biggest community garage sale in the district. There will be bargains to be had and sales to be made, neighbours and friends to catch up, with and new and old locals to meet and greet.

The Jindera Community Garage Sale started in 1999 and was run by the Jindera Museum for the first three years. St Mary's Catholic Church Jindera then organised the event from 2002 to 2017 and since then the Garage Sale has been coordinated by Rural Care Link Inc.

The number of locals participating in this annual event has increased from less than 40 sites in 1999 to around 80 house sites now.

Garage sale participants are encouraged to be ready and organised as the first of the sometimes thousands of visitors have been known to start arriving before daybreak. This wonderful community event has people travelling from North East Victoria and the Southern Riverina, some of them even put this event in their yearly calendars. By mid morning the township is crazy with cars and pedestrians everywhere, all attracted to the huge amount of goods on offer and the happy atmosphere.

Maps showing where all the sales sites are located will be available for purchase on the morning of, and all participants are required to register.

Registrations are now open to residents of Jindera and Jindera postal area only.

Payments are preferred to be made by scanning the QR code on any poster, on the Facebook page or online at ruralcarelink.org.au.

For those needing to make cash payments, you can still do at the Jindera Post Office.
