Grandparents Day at the Jindera Library
Grandparents and grandchildren, come and celebrate NSW Grandparents Day at your library
To celebrate Grandparent day, we have the perfect photo opportunity for you. Greater Hume Council libraries have arranged for Leanne Bickley, from Leabic Photography, to take photos of grandparents and their grandchildren in the library, reading books together. You will receive a complimentary photo to keep. Whilst waiting for your photo shoot, there will be a simple craft activity for you to share with your grandchild/grandchildren and you can find a quiet corner of the library to read books together.
NSW Grandparents Day celebrates the contributions grandparents make to their families and communities. It recognises the diversity of grandparent relationships and the roles of older people in our community. Grandparents, grand-friends, kin, and those who take on the role of a grandparent in their family or community are recognised for their contributions.
NSW Grandparents Day aims to foster intergenerational learning and we have this wonderful opportunity for grandparents and their grandchildren in our libraries.
Bookings essential: Please note that we have limited spaces available. Please phone 02 6036 0100 to book your spot.
