Bungowannah Hall

Bungowannah-Hall.jpg

The Bungowannah Hall was constructed in 1914, funded by public subscription through the local community.

A Grand Concert and Dance was held on 8th July 1914 to celebrate the opening.

The original building was corrugated iron, without internal walls or ceiling. Without running water, electricity, heating or cooling.

Over the years, the ceiling and internal walls have been added, a kitchen  constructed, electricity and running water connected, and gas heating and ceiling fans installed.

The hall has been in use now for 110 years, for concerts, dances, card nights, meetings and in December each year, Santa Claus is our guest of honour.

The building is managed by a group of local Trustees, for the benefit of local residents and surrounding communities.
