Business dealt with at the meeting included:
Council’s external auditor Mr Brad Bohun from Crowe, attended to report on the conduct of the 2020/2021 audit and the financial result for the year ending 30 June 2021.
Council agreed to offer a contribution of $88,270 (exc. GST) to the developer of the approved 43 Lot subdivision at Yankee Crossing Road Henty to locate the sewerage pumping station on Yankee Crossing Road rather than in the lane adjacent to the Olympic Highway.
Council agreed to delegate the civic and ceremonial functions of the position of Mayor to the incumbent Mayor (Cr Wilton) from 4 December 2021 until a Mayor is elected in the week commencing 10 January 2022.
Council will call for Expressions of Interest from Real Estate Agents to appoint an Agent to market Lot 2 DP 610499 at Holbrook (known as Camden Forest).
Council confirmed ongoing membership of Riverina Regional Library for the term 1 July 2022 to 30 June 2025. Council will give notice of withdrawal from the Riverina Regional Library Mobile Library Service effective 30 June 2024. Various models of operation are being explored to continue to provide library services post 30 June 2025.
Council noted the introduction of the new rate peg methodology effective 1 July 2022 from the Office of Local Government.
The Lease Agreement with John Holland Transport Asset Holding Entity for the Walla Walla Rural Fire Station will be renewed.
Council approved the extension of the NSW Grain Harvest Management Scheme for the next 12 months to 30 September 2022.
Subject to valuation, Council approved the purchase of 95-99 Albury Street, Holbrook.
