Greater Hume Council Family Day Care Awards

Greater Hume Children Services are thrilled to announce the recent recognition of their Family Day Care team. The team has been awarded the NSW/ACT Family Day Care service of the year and are now proud finalists in the National Family Day Care Australia Awards.

Kim Hawkins, Service Manager for Greater Hume’s Family Day Care, expressed pride and praise for the team's commitment and passion for their roles at Greater Hume Family Day Care.

As well as a finalist for National Family Day Care Service of the year, Deanne Burr, Practice Mentor for Family Day Care has been awarded the prestigious Perpetual Star Award for her more than 15 years of dedicated service in the family day care sector.

On top of both these awards, one of Greater Hume Family Day Care educators Tabitha Woonings has taken out the Family Day Care Australia Regional Educator of the year award. Tabitha has been operating her Family Day Care service for many years. This award highlights the dedication and committed to her families and their children, providing an exceptional educational program.

The winner of the National Service of the year award will be announced by Family Day Care Australia at the awards dinner in Adelaide on Saturday, 25 November. Felicity O’Rourke, Manager Children Services said “We are thrilled to have their efforts recognised and know that they will continue to provide exceptional care for families and their children”.

Greater Hume Children Services Family Day Care has been supporting local communities for nearly three decades. They are a team of highly qualified and experienced Coordination Staff and Educators, working together to provide exceptional educational programs for hundreds of children in home environments, across Greater Hume Shire, Albury, Wodonga, Snowy Valley, Indigo, Federation and Benalla Shires.
