Manager Risk and Governance

The Manager Risk and Governance is accountable for the strategic development, implementation and maintenance of high-quality governance and risk systems that supports transparent and effective decision making within the organisation.

The primary focus of the role is to develop, maintain and monitor Council’s governance standards, tools and frameworks and to drive a culture of best practice in corporate governance, customer relations and risk across the organisation. This includes managing a small team that assists, guides and advises the Executive Leadership Team in the performance of their governance and risk responsibilities and ensure compliance with the Local Government Act 1993 and other relevant legislation.
