In accordance with Section 252 of the Local Government Act 1993 (the Act), Council is required to adopt a policy concerning the payment of expenses and provision of facilities to the Mayor and Councillors in relation to discharging functions of civic office.
The policy is no longer required to be reviewed annually but is to be reviewed and adopted within 12 months of each term of a Council.
Council has endorsed an updated draft Payment of Expenses and Provision of Facilities for Mayor and Councillors Policy.
Submissions will be considered by Council prior to the adoption of Payment of Expenses and Provision of Facilities for Mayor and Councillors Policy.
View the Payment of Expenses and Provision of Facilities for Mayor and Councillors Policy for a period of 28 days from 20 March until 5pm 17 April 2025.
Council will receive submissions until 5pm 17 April 2025.
Council advises that any submissions you make will be considered a public document, unless privacy is specifically requested.
