Business dealt with at the meeting included:
Council resolved to write to the NSW Government to withdraw the Environmental Planning and Assessment Amendment (Infrastructure Contributions) Bill 2021 from NSW Parliament. Additionally, Council will call on the NSW Government to undertaken further consultation with the local government sector on any proposed reforms to the infrastructure contributions system. Council will also seek a meeting with Justin Clancy, Member for Albury, to discuss the likely impact the Bill will have on Council, our community and ratepayers.
Cr Doug Meyer OAM was voted as Deputy Mayor which was put to open vote at the Council meeting.
Council resolved to submit an amendment to the Greater Hume Local Environmental Plan 2012 – Zoning and Minimum Lot Size Changes for 151 – 159 Pioneer Drive Jindera and 1037 Urana Road Jindera to the Department of Planning, Infrastructure and Environment to facilitate large lot residential land and seek a conditional Gateway Determination.
The draft Jindera Residential Land Use Strategy will be re-exhibited, following requests from three landowners seeking inclusion in the strategy.
Following on from the postponement of the 2021 elections, Council agreed the meeting schedule for the remainder of the calendar year and January 2022 (below).

Council reaffirmed its delegates for various organisations / committees where Council is represented for the remainder of the Council term.
Council will enter into a Partnership Agreement with Service NSW for Business. Service NSW for Business provides free, personalised support to small business owners, to help them understand industry regulations, to guide them through transactions, and to access support.
The 2020-2021 Financial Statements were adopted as presented.
The Greater Hume Energy Savings Action Plan (ESAP) was adopted. The ESAP has identified that initiatives undertaken to date have resulted in a 48% reduction of net electricity usage.
Council agreed that the operation of the Greater Hume Disability Inclusion Action Plan 2017/2021 will be extended to the period 30 June 2022.
Council will accept the offer from Inland Rail to relocate the top span of the Culcairn Rail Footbridge to Eric Thomas Park in Culcairn.
Council are currently reviewing the Community Strategic Plan. There are a number of opportunities for the community to contribute to the development of the plan. Click here to go to the survey on our website. The website also advises other means to engage with us.
