Changed Traffic Conditions on Bridges in the Riverina

Changed traffic conditions on bridges in the Riverina Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions next week on a number of bridges in the Riverina for routine inspection work.
Routine maintenance inspections are carried out every two years to ensure bridge conditions meet safety requirements, and involve investigating underneath each bridge with specialised equipment.
Work will be carried out from Tuesday 5 October to Thursday 7 October, weather permitting, at:
• Twin Bridges over Jugiong Creek, at Jugiong, on Tuesday 5 October, between 7.30am and 4pm.
• Burkes Creek Bridge, three kilometres north of The Rock, on Wednesday 6 October between 7.30am and 4pm
• Billabong Creek Bridge at Culcairn, on Wednesday 6 October between 7.30am and 4pm
• Mundowy Bridge over Murrumbidgee River, 8.3 kilometres north of Collingullie, on Thursday 7 October between 7.30am and 4pm
Lane closures will be in place to allow staff to access the bridges safely.
Traffic control and a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
